Hello theorists, Emma here! Many people have heard of the infamous Hell Valley Sky Trees. If you aren't one of these; here's what it is.

In Shiverburn Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2 If you look at the cliff above you and to the left, no matter where you are, you will see these "trees". Now if you have seen the Hell Valley Sky Trees you know they aren't really trees. No tree looks like that. That's because they are really...

Kodama! What are Kodama? They are Japanese tree spirits. TREE SPIRITS! Thus the tree in the name.

What about the Hell Valley Sky, part of the name? The name of the sky texture is Beyond Hell Valley Sky. It is possible that the original name for the level was Beyond Hell Valley, but was rejected for being inappropriate. That would explain the names and the image. Now I'm not saying this is true, but it is an extremley popular theory, and I believe it is true.

P.S. If you are unable to seek out the Kodama yourself, they are the picture seen on every page of the site.
